Axel Dörner - niemiecki trębacz i improwizator, urodził się w 1964 w Kolonii. W latach 1988-1989 studiował grę na fortepianie w Konserwatorium w Arnhem, a potem do 1996 roku w Wyższej Szkole Muzycznej w Kolonii, gdzie w 1991 rozpoczął naukę gry na trąbce u profesor Malte Burba. W 1994 roku przeniósł się do Berlina.
